Royce Carroll is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Rice University. His research focuses on the comparative study of democratic institutions, especially in the context of legislatures and coalition politics. His current projects include work on political parties’ distribution of legislative and executive power and on techniques for the spatial analysis of legislative voting and other choice data.

Associate Editor: Randolph T. Stevenson
Randolph Stevenson is Professor of Political Science at Rice University. Professor Stevenson’s research focuses on mass political behavior, cabinet formation, and institutional design in Western democracies. He has recently published articles in American Journal of Political Science, American Political Science Review, Public Choice, and British Journal of Political Science. His book, entitled The Economic Vote: How Political and Economic Institutions Condition Election Results (co-authored with Raymond Duch), was published in 2008 by Cambridge University Press and won the Gregory M. Luebbert award for the best book in comparative politics in 2007 or 2008. His current research projects include studies of the role of incumbency in cabinet formation and a new NSF funded book project exploring the sources of cross-national differences in political knowledge. Dr. Stevenson also teaches a number of graduate courses in advanced statistical techniques.

Associate Editor: Rick Wilson
Rick Wilson is Herbert S. Autrey Chair of Political Science at Rice University. Wilson is a political scientist interested in human behavior. In the past his work focused on political history and the design of political institutions — especially the U.S. Congress in the pre-Federal and early-Federal period. His current work focuses on human cooperation and conflict. Of special interest are the evolutionary, biological, and neurological foundations of human behavior. Wilson teaches courses on the U.S. Congress, Common Property Resources, Institutional Analysis and Design, Evolutionary Psychology, and Behavioral and Experimental Politics. Wilson is currently Editor of the American Journal of Political Science.
